We'll travel in a train car reserved for the Deloitte contingent and arrive at our "homestay" on Saturday morning, which turns out to be a fancy campground of sorts. It will be our "base" for the weekend.
We do a short forest trek and then return to the homestay for dinner, a campfire and sleeping. The next morning we trek to the top of waterfall, then take mini-buses back to the homestay to pick up our stuff before going back to Hyderabad by chartered bus.
As Whistling Thrush Home-Stay is situated on the bank of a flowing stream, it's surrounded by a thick green forest, a great opportunity for nature lovers and bird watchers. Apparently, a variety of birds and animals - Hornbill, Kingfisher, Whistling Thrush, Giant Red Squirries, Langur etc. will be seen in and around the camp area. We're also likely to see native animals such as Barking Deer, Sambar, Bison, Wild Dogs, Wild Bore, Fox, Leopard and on lucky day even a Tiger! OH, MY!
