To facilitate their arrival, we stayed close to home this weekend. As soon as they felt refreshed enough to head out, we took them to the near by In-Orbit Mall. Here, they collected assorted sundries with which to begin their first full week at Deloitte USI. Then, it was on to dinner.
Biryani is the famous dish of Hyderabad. It's made with basmati rice. It usually comes with lamb meat, sometimes chicken or simple seasoned vegetables. At the recommendation of Deloitte colleagues, we tracked down Paradise Restaurant for our first dinner out as a gang of seven. Paradise, as the name suggests, is where locals claim to be when they find the best biryani in the city. We're no experts, but the place was appropriately named, as far as I was concerned. The cuisine did not disappoint.
We three second years, carved out a little time for ourselves today as well. Kalie, Om and I spent time together in Minneapolis, during a really intense SAP certification course. Who could guess that our paths would cross again so quickly? This is one of the really neat things about the consulting biz! And even better, the three of us share the same Materials Management specialty, which means we will be in the same training class - just the three of us with a wide variety of great instructors, for a couple of hours, about three times a week. CAN'T WAIT!
