Deloitte's growth in India is a remarkable success story. Beginning in Mumbai with only 50 employees in 2000, the workforce has grown to almost 15,000.
Deloitte USI has offices in 13 cities. The complex here in Hyderabad welcomed its first employees in 2004 at Block A. The installation now includes Blocks B, C, D, E and F with almost 1 million square feet of office space. "Deloitte University" for India is also housed here.
In 2011, USI accounted for just 4 percent of Deloitte’s cost for doing business, but contributed 19 percent of U.S. client service hours. More evidence that "off shore" resourcing adds to corporate competitive advantage.
